Dry-stone walls are made only of carefully stacked stones – with no cement at all. Yet they can last for decades, even centuries. Lizards, wild bees, spiders, snails and even small mammals live in the gaps.
Once used to terrace slopes, today they are valuable mini-biotopes.
We build our dry-stone walls with Ivo, a craftsman born and raised in San Michele di Prazzo: watch our video.
👉 Keep your eyes peeled – there is often more life between the stones than you might think.
