ARRIVAL AND PARKING
How do I get to the campsite?
You will find all the information you need on how to get here on our directions and location page.
Where can I park my car?
A total of 15 vehicles plus the vehicles of our overnight guests are permitted on the campsite at a price of 10.00 euros per car per day and night.
The Saretto car park is a 15-minute walk away, where you can leave your car free of charge.

Is it possible to load and unload the car?
Yes, overnight guests can drive up to the Camping Bar to unload their cars. Please enquire when booking and we will programme the barrier at the start of the access road.
ARRIVAL AND CHECK-IN
Where can I find Camping Mistral?
Camping Mistral is located in the Maira Valley in Piedmont (northern Italy), near Ponte Maira and about 2.5 kilometres from Acceglio.
Ceck-in: From when and until when can I check in at Camping Mistral?
Reception at the campsite is open from 9am to 7pm. If you arrive outside of these hours, please come to our partner organisation Locanda Mistral.
CHECK-OUT
By when do I have to vacate my site?
We ask you to vacate the site by 10am.
ACCESSIBLE CAMPING EXPERIENCE
Is there information or a shuttle service for guests with reduced mobility?
Yes, there is a shuttle service for guests with reduced mobility. If you have a parking permit for people with disabilities, you can drive up to the campsite in your car. To be able to programme the barrier at the start of the access road, we need to receive an e-mail by 8pm the day before at the latest including the following details
- your name and a photo of your parking permit
- the licence plate number
- the date of your visit.

Is the campsite wheelchair-accessible?
Access to the toilets and the picnic area is possible with a wheelchair.
BOOKING
Tourist tax of the Maira Valley Community Association
The Community Association of the Maira Valley charges a tourist tax of 1 euros per person per night for camping guests. The tourist tax is not included in the prices shown on the website and is charged separately.
Discounts for children
Children under the age of 12 stay for free at Camping Mistral.
Dogs and pets
Dogs and pets are welcome on request and subject to a charge of 5.00 euros per night.
Cancellation terms for individual bookings
Communication pursuant to Part III, Title III, Section I, of the Consumer Code (GvD 206/2005):
The booking constitutes a legally binding accommodation contract. You undertake to take over the booked pitches / fixed tents for the agreed period and to pay the corresponding price for them, while we undertake to keep the booked inventory free for you.
In the event of non-fulfilment, the contracting parties are obliged to compensate the damage incurred in accordance with Art. 1218 of the Italian Civil Code.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the following cancellation terms apply:
- 0%: for cancellation up to 1 month before the beginning of the stay
- 50%: for cancellation 1 month to 10 days before the beginning of the stay
- 100%: for cancellation from 10 days before the beginning of the stay
Cancellation must be made in writing and confirmed by us.
We recommend to take out travel insurance.
Individual bookings
When booking, we ask you to transfer the total amount. The booking is only confirmed once payment has been received.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes, in high season, we have a minimum stay of 3 nights.

SHOPPING FACILITIES
Is there a grocery shop or a kiosk on site?
In our small but nice Camping Bar we have a little shop that has all the essentials. About 15 minutes away by car, in our partner business Locanda Mistral, we have a shop with more groceries from the valley. Guests of Camping Mistral are also welcome to have breakfast, lunch and/or dinner at Locanda Mistral. We also offer a breakfast service.
Are there restaurants or supermarkets nearby?
There is a pizzeria in Saretto (1.5 kilometres away) and restaurants and a small grocery shop in Acceglio (6 kilometres away).
LEISURE AND ACTIVITIES
Are guided tours or excursions offered?
Yes, and lots of them! Renato, your host, is a mountain guide with more than 20 years of experience. You can find out more about Valle Maira and leisure activities here.
Is there a playground for children?
Yes, there is a small interactive playground for the youngsters.

WASTE, RECYCLING AND DISPOSAL
How is waste disposal organised?
We practice strict waste separation, recycling and composting to minimise the amount of waste that ends up in landfill.
Are there recycling options for glass, plastic and paper?
Yes.
Is toilet paper provided?
Degradable toilet paper is provided.
Is there a way to dispose of grey water from my camper van on site?
Yes, there is a grey water disposal station.
Are there facilities for washing dishes?
There are several dishwashing sinks with hot water.
SAFETY AND RULES
Is there a night-time period on the campsite?
From 22pm to 7am, the campsite is a quiet zone.
Is the campsite guarded or is there security personnel?
A member of the Mistral team is on site from 8am to 8pm. Otherwise, there is an emergency number where you can always reach us.
Is first aid available on the campsite?
There is an emergency box in the reception are, open from 9am to 6pm. Otherwise, you can always reach us on our emergency number.
