Natura2000

Natura2000

Camping Mistral sits right on the edge of a Natura 2000 site – a Europe-wide network created to protect our continent’s most valuable habitats and species.

🌍 What is Natura 2000?
Natura 2000 is not a national park in the classic sense.
It is a promise: to protect biodiversity, respect local traditions, and keep people and nature in balance.

The surroundings here – with endemic pines, rare orchids, golden eagles, and crystal-clear spring rivers – are so unique that they have been granted special protection at European level.

🐦 Who is protected here?

– Golden eagles and eagle owls

– Alpine herbs and rare mosses

– Bats, reptiles and amphibians

– And many unobtrusive species that survive only if we leave them in peace

And what has that got to do with you?
Everything. If you walk, camp or simply pause here, you are entering a place of Europe-wide importance. With every step, you help decide whether this promise is kept.

👉 Please keep to the paths, avoid noise, and leave everything as you found it.
